Fresh food, healthy farms, growing community!
Welcome to Cobblestone Farm Market!A Neighborhood Farmers Market operated by volunteers from the So-Pac & Buhr Park Community.
Each Tuesday, a farmers market sprouts up on the lawn of the historic Cobblestone Farm amidst the heirloom gardens and 19th Century Farmhouse museum. Tables loaded with fresh, local food rest in the shadow of the striking three story oak timber frame barn complete farm animals. You could not find a more unique market location! At this living farm museum, you will find hens wandering amongst the shoppers, and curious goats stretching their soft muzzles over the fence. The grassy setting is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a picnic while the kids play but, please, don't chase the rooster! Browse for local seeds, vegetables and wildflower plants for your garden and shop for spring vegetables, eggs, honey, and bread from over 25 vendors. Enjoy weekly events for adults and children - listen to a story, play in the drum circle, learn to fix a bike, or take a tour of the historic landmark Ticknor-Campbell Farmhouse. FRESH: Straight from the good, rich soil into your hands, this produce is as fresh and flavorful as it gets! Our produce and prepared goods are made within 25 miles of Ann Arbor so they can be picked at peak ripeness and brought to you the same day. You will find unique produce here that may not be in grocery stores. Curious about how cook this bounty? Check out our recipes, and whenever trying a new one remember food rule #2 "Place a Bouquet of Flowers on the Table and Everything Will Taste Twice as Good." HEALTHY: When you buy produce at our market, you can be sure that the food is good for you, good for the people who grow it, and good for the land. Our farmers use traditional production methods that maintain fertile soil, clean water and fresh air. Prepared foods are free of GMO's and coffee is roasted locally with Fair Trade beans. We ask our vendors to avoid refined sugar and use whole grains whenever possible. Cobblestone Farm Market is zero-waste, so please, bring your own plate and cup. (A zero-waste lifestyle ensures that discarded materials become future resources. It doesn’t require eliminating waste completely but reducing and reusing as much as possible, then recycling or composting the rest.) LOCAL: Every dollar spent at our market stays in the community, going to support local, independent farms and businesses. Our vendors sell their own products, so you can meet your farmer and know where your food comes from. We are committed to accessible prices for customers and to fair compensation for farmers and producers. |
